President Mark Condon, and Steve Massano, Jr.

The Rotary Club of Cedaredge welcomed local outfitter Steve Massano Jr., who shared his vision for Columbine Outfitters and outdoor recreation in Delta County, Colorado.

The Rotary Club of Cedaredge recently welcomed lifelong Delta County resident and experienced outfitter Steve Massano, Jr., as its guest speaker, invited by Rotary member Julie M. Cruz-Knight.

Massano shared his vision for Columbine Outfitters, formerly known as Surface Creek Outfitters. Based in Delta County, Colorado, the outdoor recreation business offers guided elk and deer hunting during Colorado's archery, muzzleloader, and rifle seasons, as well as guided fishing trips, horseback riding, and authentic western Colorado outdoor adventures.

With more than four decades of experience in the outfitting industry, Massano brings extensive knowledge of Colorado hunting, outdoor recreation, and guiding. Columbine Outfitters also offers outdoor camps with horse facilities and lodging options, including western-style steak dinners and group or team-building experiences.

The name Columbine Outfitters holds special meaning for Massano and honors the memory of his daughter, Bailey, whose favorite flower was the Colorado columbine. The new business represents both a personal tribute and an exciting new chapter for one of Delta County's experienced outdoor professionals.

Massano emphasized his commitment to safe, ethical hunting; respect for wildlife and property boundaries; and compliance with Colorado hunting regulations. He also expressed a strong commitment to supporting the Delta County economy by employing residents and partnering with area businesses.

Members of the Rotary Club of Cedaredge were deeply impressed by Steve's passion, experience, and dedication to strengthening the local community. We wish him every success as Columbine Outfitters grows and creates new opportunities for visitors, outdoor enthusiasts, residents, and businesses throughout Cedaredge, Delta County, and Western Colorado.
