We’re proud to celebrate Kelsea Kissner, a Cedaredge Senior High School student, as our Student of the Month for March. Her hard work, compassion, and determination are making a real impact both in and out of the classroom.
Innovation with Heart
With a 4.0 GPA, leadership in journalism, and participation in multiple sports, Kelsea has already set a high bar—but what truly stands out is how she uses her talents to help others. Her capstone engineering project? Designing and building a prosthetic toe to help someone regain mobility and get back to doing what they love. That’s innovation with heart.
Beyond academics, Kelsea has represented our community at the State Capitol, helped shape youth-focused policy, mentored younger students, and even supported English learners worldwide. She’s also working to inspire the next generation of girls in STEM—because she believes opportunity should be for everyone.
This fall, she’ll head to Colorado State University to pursue engineering and to develop prosthetics for veterans, children, and athletes.
Kelsea reminds us what’s possible when talent meets purpose. The future is brighter because of leaders like her.
